I will never go to see Kim again. I had an appointment scheduled for 9am and after waiting an hour, still had not be seen. Not only that, no one ever expressed interest in my waiting so long or offered to reschedule. Apparently, he had scheduled 10 patients to see that morning which I was told by an executive with Ortho Virginia was absurd. I was told he doesn't like to wait for patients and that they need to wait for him. His arrogance is astounding and never sent word to apologize.
Dr. Kim and his staff were top notch! They were both efficient and informative prior to the surgery that was need to correct a compressed disk in my neck. Dr. Kim explained everything in detail and his success rate as well. I was in chronic pain for six months prior to my operation. Dr. Kim did a great job and I am now 100% pain free. He is a miracle worker. The follow up after surgery form both him and the staff was wonderful, friendly and attentive to any questions or concerns I had. AWESOME!!
Dr. Kim performed a triple fusion on my lower lumbar. Prior to surgery, Dr. Kim thoroughly explained the procedure and answered all questions that I had asked. He took the time to listen to my questions and alleviate any concerns that I had. The surgery went exactly as he had explained it would with no issues what so ever The post surgery recovery again went exactly as he explained with no problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim for any back/spine surgeries or treatment.
Dr. Kim had ABSOLUTELY no interest in my case. I received a text book spiel that would be given to a newly injured patient, was prescribed some anti-inflammatory, and he was gone. No questions about my level of pain, discussion about x-rays, a total disrespect for my 14 years of treatment, no follow up, and a grand finally of “well you’re in your mid 40’s, it’s normal to have your level of pain”. This may have been somewhat acceptable had he actually asked what level of pain I was experiencing.
I am very satisfied with Dr.Kim.
Very poor customer service. I am a patient of Dr Kim, and have been calling his office for several weeks trying to speak to or have someone return my call in reference to my care. I haven’t been able to speak to anyone & I haven’t received a call back.
I am so happy with my decision to have Dr Kim take care of my lower back problems He did an excellent job and is a wonderful person. Well worth the wait because he is in high demand.
Dr. Kim was over an hour late for my husbands appointment. The other patients in the waiting room told us that Dr. Kim is late to every appointment. This is extremely disappointing. I took off work to hear the results of my husbands MRI, but Dr. Kim was so late I had to leave to pick up our child.
I saw Dr. Kim due to a severely herniated L5-S1 disc. I opted for microdiscectomy. Immediately following surgery, the numbness in my leg was 100% gone, and my nerve pain subsided completely over the next 6 weeks. He listened to all of my concerns before surgery and answered all of my questions. His staff was easily reachable as well. My ONLY complaint is that he was not at the post-op appointment. His PA was great, but I would have liked to hear from him personally as to how the surgery went.
