I had total replacement for both knees. Dr. Hoffman and his staff are the absolute best! My recovery has gone very well. His protocol enables a very quick recovery. Am so grateful to Dr. Hoffman!!
Went with Dr. Hoffman because he was recommended by someone I know. Based on the reviews here, I'm sure he's great at hips and knees, but shoulders, not so much. My kid had shoulder surgery and was told she would back to throwing within 4 months. 9 months later, with all the required rehab, PT, strengthening, etc. and the shoulder is no better than before the surgery.
Dr. Hoffman is very thorough when explaining the process of my upcoming surgery and what to expect after surgery. Also the process of recovery and its time frame.
My visit was fine. I appreciate the new requirements implemented for the virus and when a patient visits the office. I live in Illinois and was uncomfortable attending the appointment due to the relax requirements in Iowa. The guidelines implement to attend an appointment are better than what i expected.

Went well
Originally told I had a torn Labrum,because the socket had slipped out. I had falled with my arm straight out. It happenned at work. I have had 3 cortisone shots. Now on this last visit, im guessing work comp is pestering the the Doctor and he stated it is wear on the socket. More normal with aging, even thoe I had no issues before the fall. I now plan on getting a second opinion.
I had my knee replaced 1yr ago and I count my blessings I found Dr. Hoffman! I had an accident years ago and I waited until the pain kicked in to get a replacement. From my initial visit, to my bootcamp class, to my brief stay at surgical center on surgery day, I have been treated with professionalism and concern. The phone calls after surgery to check on me were wonderful! Dr. Hoffman and his assistants are so easy to work with. I highly recommend them!!
Great doctor and amazing staff very friendly and professional I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs orthopedic help
