Front desk is very rude. Dr Thayer misdiagnosed me and refused to admit it and put me through much physical pain and more damage to my knee. He was not honest with my situation. Was not there for me and was also rude. Had to find another doc to fix his mistake.
Excellent overall experience. Doctor and staff are always friendly and in a good mood. Doctor called for a phone follow up twice after surgery just to make sure I was comfortable and making progress.
Dr. Thayer spends plenty of time with the patient and one never feels rushed. Perhaps that is why the wait time can be pretty long. Schedule plenty of time when you have an appointment. The xray tech is very nice and friendly but the rest of the office staff can be a bit abrupt and rude.
Dr. John Thayer was the best doctor I have ever been to. I could tell that he had a lot of experience and great knowlegde about my knee problem. Even though the front office was not the best I had seen, Dr. Thayer made up for this and he was able to diagnose me within that day. I recommend this doctor to anyone who is wants a very quality job done in surgery.
I arrived early as instructed to fill out new patient paperwork, the front office staff acted like I was getting in the way of their talking, not a smile to greet you. I could hear the front staff talking about a patient that had called and given the receptionist a bad time, they were not very happy about this patient nor very nice about what they said about this patient and the waiting room could hear everything they said. Waited an hour in the lobby before being seen (while in severe pain). Front office staff VERY RUDE! Dr. Thayer was great very impressed with his knowledge and personality. Unfortuneatly, his front and back office staff are very condescending and made me feel unimportant and like a nuisance. I called regarding significant pain and they did not call me back for several days. Requested her (apparantly his assistant)to refer me to another Orthopedic Surgeon in the area SHE REFUSED!!!
