To date I have had two root canals performed by John West. I may need to have a third. Please believe me, for your own benefit, this facility and Dr John West is the best choice you can make if you need this procedure. I was told by my regular dentist (no longer my regular dentist) that my tooth could not be saved and I needed to have an implant or a bridge. I saw an implant specialist and he refered me to Dr West. The procedure went well and the staff was very accommodating, however, I was not informed of the price until after the procedure when I was ushered to the finance desk. In dentistry there exists a term called, "informed consent" which was never made available to me. Had I known that I was to pay $1500 for an uncomplicated procedure (approx. 40 min), I would have visited my last endo doc (out of state) who charged me just $750.

Repairing root canal from another doctor. Everyone is exceptionally nice from the ladies that greeted me at the front desk to Dr. West.

I went in for a failed root canal and was amazed that after draining the infection I was sent home with a temporary seal until my insurance approval came thru and since the doctor was out of town for a month I was left to live with the pain until his return. When I returned the assistant did the majority of the work which shocked me! I was told that above the 1,500 my insurance paid I was expected to pay over 400.00 at the time of service. I got them to agree to 100.00 down on the date of treatment and 50.00 payments monthly... read more

Amazing service and quality of work. in my case he was able to discover additional canals going sideways and treat them. This is the only root canal specialist i will ever go back to. Amazing technology use and customer service.

I went to Dr West's office for the first time this morning, only expecting a consult for a treatment recommendation. Imagine my surprise when he asked if I had time for him to do the root canal right now. His financial staff contacted my insurance company right away to see what my portion of the bill would be. They were willing to come up with a payment plan if I needed it. I have never had a root canal before and if this one was any indication my fears were completely unfounded. If I had need of further work of this type, I surely would have been back. In fact I'm only sorry that they couldn't be my regular dentist office and staff! Rather than being angry because I was late, they understood my need to pull over with a panic attack, and gave me something to calm me down. They were extremely nice and empathetic one and all. The level of professionalism is A plus, as are the attitudes and finished results! I just cannot say enough good things about these very competent and positive people!
