Terrible. I saw Dr. J. Dooley after my old Suboxone Dr. retired and at the time I saw him there was literally no other Drs in the Quad Cities that could prescribe Suboxone. I am a recovering addict and I was treated like trash by this Dr. Any time he would come in to the room to talk to me he would stand up and look down at me while he chastised me. He has been a god send for me. My pain is less than it was. Very efficient at his job.
If there was such a rating of a big fat nothing, that is the rating John b. Dooley would receive! He's a pathetic excuse for a human being, let alone a doctor. He graduated from UIHC in iowa city in 1984..that explains a whole hell of a lot. He is truly a QUACK, in every sense of the word and should never carry the title of Dr. because he's anything but professional. He is a terrible Dr. He doesn’t care about his patients. He doesn’t listen at all. He spends the absolute minimum amount of time possible with them when he has to see them and if they ask questions, he gets visibly mad as if his patients concerns do not matter and he is being slowed down from making as much money in a day by seeing as many patients as possible while giving no care. All he wants to do is surgery even if the patient did not have any relief from the tests. He is the worst Dr.
The most antagonistic doctor I have ever met. I made it clear that I wanted a procedure to help me with pain and was not interested in medication. I was treated like a liar right off the bat for the simple fact that I HAD taken pain medication for my condition. Dr. Dooley came into the room and asked what I wanted before he even bothered to introduce himself. By the time I got a chance to explain the condition I have been treated for over the last 6 years I was already considered a waste of time
Dismissive, marginalizing. Abrupt. Unwilling to link up with a specialist for a phone consult to discuss a rare disease within my spine he clearly knows nothing about, or he would not have a nurse practitioner suggesting a spinal cord stimulator during a 1st consult. Minimized records clearly indicating the depth and breadth of damage throughout my spine, records even mentioning reconstructive surgery. Called it age related when only the stenosis/arthritis was. Only local hope to me- discouraged
Very rude provider. Does not listen to your issues, speaks down to you, spends less than 5 minutes with you. Billing is inconsistent with Medicare guidelines. This was address to his "billing" staff and was told Dr. Dooley does his own coding and billing and will do whatever he wants. Charges for surgery follow up visits that should be bundled into surgery charges. Very unprofessional, rude and I would never recommend anyone to go to him.
