The most antagonistic doctor I have ever met. I made it clear that I wanted a procedure to help me with pain and was not interested in medication. I was treated like a liar right off the bat for the simple fact that I HAD taken pain medication for my condition. Dr. Dooley came into the room and asked what I wanted before he even bothered to introduce himself. By the time I got a chance to explain the condition I have been treated for over the last 6 years I was already considered a waste of time
Dismissive, marginalizing. Abrupt. Unwilling to link up with a specialist for a phone consult to discuss a rare disease within my spine he clearly knows nothing about, or he would not have a nurse practitioner suggesting a spinal cord stimulator during a 1st consult. Minimized records clearly indicating the depth and breadth of damage throughout my spine, records even mentioning reconstructive surgery. Called it age related when only the stenosis/arthritis was. Only local hope to me- discouraged
Very rude provider. Does not listen to your issues, speaks down to you, spends less than 5 minutes with you. Billing is inconsistent with Medicare guidelines. This was address to his "billing" staff and was told Dr. Dooley does his own coding and billing and will do whatever he wants. Charges for surgery follow up visits that should be bundled into surgery charges. Very unprofessional, rude and I would never recommend anyone to go to him.
Dr. Dooley should be ashamed of himself. The man came into the room insisting there's nothing wrong with me. I asked him if he read my records, and if he saw my exrays. He said he could tell by the paper I filled out before my appointment that there's nothing wrong with me. He said I have fibro myalgia and he would prescribe psych meds for me. Today I went to my new Dr. I have 2 disintegrated discs of my Cervical spine. They are pinching my nerves causing me pain. I'm so angry, he let me suffer!
This guy is bully and drives away staff. 5 NP in five months and 3 clinic names. The staff walks around on pins and needles. If you like paying for med checks and have to explain why your there. Then this guy is for you. DO NOT go there
I am extremely happy with how my visits with Dr. Dooley went. I was a mess before receiving any treatment from the Pain Centers of Iowa. He was compassionate and really helped me find a correct diagnosis and treatment plan.
I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Drove all the way to Davenport, IA from Madison, WI for an IV ketamine infusion for depression, Dr Dooley came in and immediately started berating me with a half smirk on his face, disrespecting Dr Keil, my family doctor for 20 years, who has helped me tremendously. Basically 4-5 minutes of him arguing with me, ranting about the injections I've gotten (that actually help). Awful, I walked out rather than take his abuse and tone.
I was a patient of Dr. Dooley and his Nurse Practitioner. My complaint is with Dr Dooley. I felt he had zero empathy for my specific needs and was very demeaning and made me feel as though I should not have been there. Other Dr's I had worked with or been a patient of were empathetic and treated my needs. I think you should expect more out of a health professional as they are your advocate. I would never recommend him, period.
Great doctor knows exactly what he is doing., wouldn't go to anyone else.
