I have seen Dr. Benton twice. Both times I had an inquiry of a past surgery I had by another doctor. After my second time to ask her she acted really put out with me but followed up on what I asked her. She called me at home and gave me the information and charged me a doctors visit. At the end of the call she said “now I hope you have your answers and we don’t have to look into this anymore. “ she was very rude.
I’ve been her patient for 20 years. She has a great bedside manner. I feel like she authentically cares for me and family (she delivered my son). Highly recommend!
I’ve been going to Dr. Benton for several years. I have always had a good visit. Well as good as a gyn visit can be at my age. She has always answered my questions, suggested things that may help and makes sure I stay on top of my weight.
I saw Dr. Benton once in 2019 after my physician moved. I have not been back and will not. She took zero time with me and basically didn’t want to figure out my issue.
Waited for over an hour in the waiting room. Waited over and hour in the patient room, naked. When she finally came in she was very, very rude. She made several rude comments. I am not a cryer, but I cried when I left. She was so rude to me she made me cry.
It was my first appointment with her for an annual exam and I wanted to start birth control for the first time. She spent a total of 30 seconds introducing herself before she told me to get naked and then gave me her birth control spiel which lasted 45 seconds. And then I told her I didn’t know anything about birth control and she told me she’d prescribe me anything I wanted. My wife had an appointment today for a consultation on either continuing with taking a birth control shot versus receiving an implant. The implant option was introduced in a prior visit. The office was to provide follow up as to whether the procedure was covered by insurance, what the out of pocket would be, etc. On 1/6/2021, my wife was taken directly to the operation room with no consultation and told to remove clothing. I visited once after my OB of 12 yrs moved to another practice that didn’t take my insurance. First impression of the office wasn’t good. I sat in the waiting room for almost an hour with no explanation from the staff as to why it was taking so long. She was nice but the bar was set high because my other OB was more personable and took her time. Dr. Benton seemed to rush in and out.
I would never recommend her to anyone. I went for a regular checkup and I knew I had a prolapse. She said I had scar tissue from episiotomies and as she was leaving the room she said my bladder had dropped a little. I started to stop her and ask further questions and decided not to because I would never choose her to operate on me. I found a wonderful, caring pelvic floor specialist at a different hospital.
