Dr Almand did a partial knee replacement on my right knee March 1 2019 at the Baptist surgical center in Madison. It all went well except my camera site on my lower right leg got infected twice requiring two subsequent surgeries and two more hospital stays and twelve weeks of IV antibiotics with a pic line. Dr Almand and his staff as well as Dr Byers the infection doctor took awesome care of me through it all. Home health with nursing care and physical therapy was all arranged by them. I would highly recommend Dr. Almand for any of your joint replacements. He takes time with you and answers all your questions. GREAT bedside manner. Dr. Almand did a total hip replacement on me last August and I could not be happier. Partial knee scheduled for 3 weeks from now. Will be so happy to get back to being pain free!!!
Dr Almand did both of my knee replacements. (9/6/18 and 5/15/19). Had a great experience with both. So glad I chose Dr. Almand as my orthopedic surgeon. Couldn’t have asked for a more patient, caring, and knowledgeable dr. Great surgeon! He can definitely get the job done. Explains procedure and process well. Amazing care team as well! Had outstanding results with my total hip replacement from Dr Almand. I would highly recommend his skill, expertise and bedside manner to anyone looking for joint surgery of the hip and knee.
Total out patient Hip replacement, back to work in 7 days -- no complications of any kind. Good combination package of in-home physical therapy for one week and then two weeks of PT at the Fortification Street facility. Currently three weeks post op and weening off reliance on cane.
