I had an appointment for 1:30 PM. I had filled out the requested forms on line prior to my visit. I was unaware that I would have to give extensive detailed information about my health prescriptions, etc. etc. upon arrival. the best I could do with it took me over 30 minutes. Then I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for others who came after me were called in .I am elderly. I never found a dermatologist as Dr. Jay Barnett. I was there for the first time suggested by an old time friend who has been his patient for several years.I put it off for many, many years to go see a dermatologist as unfortunately the specialty does not have a great reputation, until today when I met Dr. Barnet. His office has a staff that specializes in personal attention to his patients. Very competent Doctor and gave me good advice for the home treatment between the visits, much better than the previous practice where I was going

Did not take me serious when I told him I had a Scalp problem prior. He told me he believes it’s alopecia but I know for a fact I have scalp acne. Barely looked at my problem.

Dr. Barnett's practice (taken over by MedStar) has become repugnant. I was literally treated like I was on an assembly line. I am a human being, not a package of french fries. I walked into the office and am immediately directed to provide my insurance card and credit card for copay payment. NO hello, hi how are you, ONLY "give me the money". Additionally, I came to see Dr. Barnett for 2 issues, and was informed during my visit with the doctor that one of my issues requires a separate appointment as it takes longer than 5 mi... read more

It was a hassle to attempt to book online. The amount of information required to update my record was ridiculous. Why do you need to know the ZIP CODE of the town where I was born? The number of appointment reminders was ridiculous. I got a phone call as I was SITTING in the waiting room!! The waiting room was crowded. The building was DIRTY.
