He doesn't seem empathetic to patients as most doctors. He seemed irritated when questions were asked about continuing care after surgery. Didn't explain much at all. 2 stars as it looks like he may have done a good job, but time will tell. Does he ever smile? 04/23-01/24 Update: My spouse was referred back to him from Wound Specialist. If you are a person who wants answers and straightforwardness this is the guy to see! He was the only guy to identify my daughter's issue. The surgery was flawless and she has been fabulous ever since.
I'm not sure that he deserves even a 1 review. My surgery was 6 months ago for plantar fascists and ligament repair. My foot is numb still to this day. The doctor that took over after sweely left oip says that he is not sure what was even done . My foot only had pain from the plantar fascists and now I ended up with my foot being so numb and nerve pain that it has hindered my walking. I'm thinking of take my issues to a lawyer to see what could be done if anything.
Dr Sweeley was supposed to remove some painful hardware in my foot, fuse my big toe and fuse some arthritic joints on the top of my foot. He was very patient and friendly during my initial visit. After the surgery he told me he was unable to get he hardware out and caused him to be an hour late in his operative schedule. He was actually rude and angry. When I saw him post op he barely looked the X-ray had the nurse remove the stitches and told me to wear a boot for 4 more weeks. I was called a week before my next appointment... read more
Botched my moms surgery, made her start physical therapy a week after ankle surgery, didn’t touch foot at post op appointments he just looked at it and left. Stitch was left in foot and caused infection. Operated on tendons and completely replaced ligaments in the middle of the surgery that didn’t need to be replaced. Didn’t spend much time right after surgery talking to family. Now other surgeons have to fix what he has done to my mother.
