Seemed completely disinterested in how I was feeling. Asked very few questions spent less than three minutes with me and walked out basically saying I will see you when I will see you. Even though I have issues with my neck from a car accident. Showed no interest or compassion. I have no clue why he wants to work with people. If I treated my patients like that I wouldn’t have a patient base. He deserve “0” stars but there is no option for that.
Dr. Alvarez was very thorough and gave my wife and I plenty of time to answer all of our questions and concerns. Had lumbar Laminectomy in March of 2024. At the time I could barely stand up straight and was struggling with my daily routine. I followed all the post surgery advice and am happy to say I am pain free. I was able to return to golfing in mid May. We are very grateful to Dr. Alvarez and his expert surgical care. He is beyond amazing and highly recommended . We are forever grateful.
He operated on me before 15 years ago?? I went back recently as have sciatica and or piriformis problems same area? Completely dismissed me? Now I have to try & find someone to fix his problems
He is absolutely the rudest dr we have ever seen and he recommended somebody that retired a couple years ago . I wouldn’t recommend anybody going to him he is one horrible man and I hope when he looks in the mirror he see something different than I saw it today the most uncompassionate doctor ever. A total waste of time for someone that is in excruciating pain he could’ve cared less
My husband had surgery 2 weeks ago. He had a cyst that was compressing some nerves and he could barely walk. Dr. Alvarez explained his condition and problems to us and let us know what choices my husband had. He answered all our questions before and after the procedure. He never rushed us. He and his staff are very professional and friendly.

I have not had any issues. The staff is amazing.
Thank God for the University Of Miami for fixing this mans incomplete Surgery.... He should have never touched my back to begin with, as my case was beyond his capabilities ... shame on me for trusting him
