He is awesome. Very down to earth, sincere, and I can tell cares about me not just as a patient, but as a person.
Dr. Handoo has been the best psychiatrist I have ever had. He is funny, insightful, and spends lots of time with his patients. He always goes the extra step to help and I really appreciate what he has done for me. I haven't ever had a better doctor than him.
Dr. Handoo is never on time with appointments, even when my appt. is around 8 am. I usually end up waiting at least 45 min. I have never felt that he really cared about me much as a person, but that my appt. is just something to rush through to get to the next patient. He talks very rapidly as if reciting well-worn info and never fails to mention that he knows my previous psychiatrist, even though I have not seen that doctor in 3 years. Seems to push expensive treatments not under FDA oversight.
I had read a lot about ketamine and was nervous about it. After meeting Dr. Handoo, he put my mind at ease. I am glad I listened to him. Ketamine has saved my life, and I don't know where I would be had I not done IV ketamine treatments with Dr. Handoo.
Dr. Handoo recommended TMS for me last year which I have now finished over 1 year ago. Since finishing TMS last year, my "score" went from 21 down to 1, and my life has turned around. I had been struggling with depression for many years, and TMS has made such a positive difference in my life. I can't thank him enough.
I had found Dr. Handoo online after doing my own research in trying to find a good psychiatrist in the area. Dr. Handoo showed compassion for my situation, and I found I was able to discuss very difficult, intimate aspects of my life with him. He has given me a lot of insight and has helped me so much.
After giving birth to my first child, I developed postpartum depression. I started to see Dr. Handoo after this and he has helped me so much. He is a great listener, very patient, and very knowledgeable. I can tell he truly cares a lot about his patients. I haven't found a better doctor.
One of my friends recommended I see Dr. Handoo, so I decided go to see him. I was surprised at how easy he is to talk to, and really look forward to my visits with him. I had been nervous about seeing a psychiatrist, but he made me feel very comfortable from the start. He has a great personality and sense of humor.
