While I understand that every doctor’s office has rule and regulations however Dr. Long was rude and impolite. There are way to implement rules without being rude especially when people don’t know what the rules are. I was on the phone. I apologize for being on the phone and he still was rude. I was referred to this MD after my other specialist was baffled. Dr. Long performed an evaluation, prescribed some lab studies and rescued me from the diabilitating headaches. So proud of him for fixing me. Very highly recommend him.
Very rude from the moment he entered the room even my husband said he was rude and arrogant and just wanted to write a prescription didn’t want to hear my symptoms rolled his eyes ?? at me !!! Not caring at all and completely not interested in what was wrong with me !!!
Chronic migraines can be extremely difficult on someone, and I believe that a doctor in this field should possess the traits of empathy, patience, and knowledge. Dr. Long lacks those traits. Don't you hate waiting months for a neurology appointment, suffering through debilitating migraines, finally getting your appointment, paying your copay, and then the doctor spends less than 4 minutes with you and seems like he could care less about what you're going through and working WITH YOU to find a solution? Thorough appointment! Dr. Long is to the point but caring at the same time and I have gotten thorough workup and care. Staff and office are efficient.
My daughter was a first time patient this morning and she left his office in tears! He basically shamed her for asking for a prescription that she needs for migraines all because she exclusively breastfeeds her ten month old daughter. The medication is perfectly safe for breastfeeding mothers per her lactation consultant and her OBGYN AND THE PEDIATRICIAN! Fantastic Neurologist. He is thorough, kind, attentive, to the point, and seems to really think through what is best for my individual needs. I have done so much better. He is generally very on time for the appointments with little wait, which is unusual at any doctor's office these days. My whole experience at Alabama Medical Group has been great, I am thinking about changing my PCP to there! Highly recommend Dr. Long and Alabama Medical Group.
Dr. Long is a fantastic doctor; he listens to me, treat my illness and give me samples of medication(s) that I take, when he have it ~ he just doesn’t diagnose you; he gives state of the art tests that are available! His office at Alabama Medical Group have the Best Staff, also!
