Horrible experience due to failure to provide simple patient care and follow through on promised communication. I came to Dr. Heinen for a torn meniscus. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and I liked him. I chose to schedule arthroscopic knee surgery with him for the torn meniscus. From there, everything went downhill. Because of the upcoming Halloween (which falls on Tuesday, his surgery day), I asked to schedule for anytime that week. Without any consultation with me, I was told that 2:30
I tore a tendon during a work related incident. Dr. Heinen wasted no time in scheduling a surgery and explained all the details leading up to and after the surgery. He and his staff were very courteous, professional and very caring. This was my first work related injury and I felt extremely confident and I had chosen the right doctor !
Dr. Heinen was recommended to me by my longtime orthopedic surgeon, Jerry Wall of Riverside Sport Clinic, just before his tragic passing two years ago. I had torn both rotator cuffs in a work accident and Dr. Heinen surgically repaired them, first one, then PT, then the other, then PT. Both of my shoulders are now perfect, as though I'm 20 years old and never gotten hurt. I recommend Dr. Heinen for any injury to your shoulders. He's honest, straight talking, w/no condescension in his voice.
I've been to many doctors in my lifetime and Dr. Heinen has got to be one of my very favorite. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about what he does, he takes the time to explain (in a way you can understand) everything that is going on... From diagnosis to treatment, to personality and bedside manner, he's simply the best!
He was extremely thorough and friendly and offered a good honest opinion. Definitely recommend!
Dr Heinen , Is a great Doc and will tell you like it is , very personable . He Replaced my shoulder and it works great i am in rehab but it is right on track, All of his office staff are great to, If you need a great surgeon he is your man ...
