I have been to multiple Dr's in Utah for my Bipolar disorder. When I moved to Idaho I was not medicated I was lost and scared. I found Belnap and upon meeting him I was so nervous he welcomed me with the biggest smile. He listened to me and never once has he made me feel less than for what I have or who I am. He is by far the best Dr. I've had in my whole life.
If you are a person who appreciates being involved in your care, this provider is not for you. You are not allowed to talk during the five minute session you get with him. He makes it clear he is not a counselor and that there is not to be any dialogue. You are only allowed to sit there and then get your prescriptions. You can tell what type of experience you are going to have when you walk into the office. The girls at the desk, Chelsea and Vicky do not like the patient's. Not nice at all!
I've been Dr. Belnap's patient for over 10 years. He is a godsend to me. He is a very patient and intelligent doctor, and is up on the latest information on both illness and pharmacology. I look forward to my visits with Dr. Belnap, and always feel much better afterward. Isn't that what it's all about? I recommend Dr. Belnap highly.
I only saw this doctor once and he was friendly, seemed knowledgeable and I was satisfied with his services.
