Definitely recommend Dr Southerland. I have had Trigger finger surgery and more recently Rotator Cuff surgery. Would not have anyone else do the surgery.
I was able to see Dr Sutherland on a Monday then have pre-op testing done same day. Surgery the next day. It worked out so well and I’m so happy with the results. Within two weeks I got a new lighter weight cast that I will use through while going to occupational therapy.
Dr Sutherland has many years of experience, remarkable empathy, and has demonstrated incredible skills performing orthopedic surgery on my knees. 5 stars for certain!
Does NOT speed through the visit. Takes time to explain lab/ x-ray results and answer questions.

This was the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. Made me feel like a liar an acted uninterested in helping me.
Having come for a second opinion, Sutherland clearly provided the information I needed to make a tough decision, and most importantly, he was collaborative in his provision of care. He tuned in to the questions and concerns I had brought and was thus able to settle my mind in the face of making that decision (Hip replacement). He was very present.
