I have had a osteochondral lesion of the talus and a ruptured peroneal tendon for six years now, that doctors refuse to fix. My family doctor sent me to him. He had my walk on it barefoot and said he could see how unstable I was on it. He told me he could see the damage to my talar dome. What does he do? Puts me back into a brace that caused my peroneal to rupture in the first place. Between the the instability of my joint and soft tissue damage, I never should have been braced or booted.
