I broke my ankle and was extremely stressed about my upcoming surgery. I feel so much better after meeting with Dr. Bartel. He was extremely kind, answered all of our questions and gave me a clear understanding what to expect post-surgery regarding recovery.
My visit with Dr Bartel was great, he explained my x-rays, answered all my questions and explained what I should expect going forward .
I was seeing an awful orthopedist who literally hung up the phone on me and was impossible to contact. She scheduled me for surgery, but she seemed sketchy and weird to me so I went to get a second opinion. I called Fox Valley Orthopedics, and they carefully took into consideration which doctor they thought I should see, and placed me with Bartel. Dr. Bartel was very kind, responsive to questions, and thorough in responses about causes and potential solutions.
Dr. Bartel made time for me to come in for an earlier visit than scheduled due to coming from Dallas, TX for treatment and after meeting with him and his staff, my surgery was set up and completed with ease. Additionally, I am on the path of recovery from a torn Achilles Tendon and the Dr. Bartel and his staff have made the light at the end of the tunnel very visible and I am only one week out from the surgery. Very happy that I chose this group for my surgery needs and recovery. Once again, THANK YOU!
He operated on my broken ankle several years ago. I’ve never had a single problem with it since. It is actually stronger than the other one now. Dr. Bartel is personable, kind and a great listener. I highly reccomend him.
Dr Bartel met with us and immediately put us in a very comfortable position. He explained the injury and went now to thoroughly walk us step by step of the procedure.
