I have been seeing Dr. Spanier for over 15 years and he has helped me trememdously. He was the only doctor who could finally diagnose my depression and put me on the road to good health after seeing so many before him. I always enjoy our sessions as he is very down to earth, knows his stuff and has a great sense of humor. He truly cares about his patients!
I was an patient of Dr Spanier's in 1988. He made a comment to me then that took me 10 years to understand but did he ever hit the nail on the head or what. He saw things long before I ever could! VERY insightful as well as knowledgable!
Without his help, I don't know how I would have recovered from years of struggling with anorexia and bulimia. Very caring, very understanding - I would reccommend him to anyone who is going through a tough time.

Dr. Spanier is an excellent doctor - very caring, knowledgeable, and professional. He's one of the rare psychiatrists who isn't just a pill-pusher, but cares deeply about his patients. He helped me heal from a severe depression and encouraged me to go on to get 2 college degrees and a career. I'm functioning and successful due to his skilled care. I highly recommend him.
