I've been seeing Dr. Vavvas for more than 12 years since my eye condition first arose. He has been so informative, thorough, patient, and extremely competent. I would not think of going anywhere else for treatment, surgery, and follow-up. I have the utmost confidence in his expertise.
It is unusual for me to trust a doctor when first meeting, but it took only 5 minutes with Dr. Vavvas for me to feel I was in good hands. That assessment turned out to be very accurate! He honed in on my problem so quickly that it helped me feel perhaps, perhaps I could be helped. Up until then I felt hopeless. I trust him more than most doctors I see.

I required an injection in each eye. My usual physician was unavailable and had given me Dr. Vavvas's name as an alternative should she not be available. I was apprehensive to receive the injections from an unknown physician but was extremely surprised and happy with the outcome. He used a different procedure that was far more comfortable than usual. He will be my go-to guy in the future for injections as I will be far less anxious about them when this procedure is used.

Dr. Vavvas is the best!!! he is very professional, competent, kind, caring. he also goes out of his way to answer all of my questions regarding my condition and not only that, but he is updated regarding his knowledge, he attends all kinds of conferences and he is always open to learn from the patient. He has all my respect as a professional and as a person. Thank you Dr. Vavvas for keeping my condition stable and my eyes healthy as much as it is possible. God bless you always.
I have been visiting Dr. Vavvas annually for several years followOmg retina surgery that saved the vision in my left eye. As always, the polite professionalism of he and his entire staff makes the visit an event that I look forward to. The multiple exams take a little time, but I appreciate their precision and thoroughness. I leave with the peace of mind that my eye health is still great; and if it wasn’t, I’d still know that I had the best of the best with a plan to get my eyes healthy again.
Dr Vavvas is an excellent physician. He is caring and detailed oriented when dealing with rare eye issues to diagnosis and care for you appropriately. His knowledge and expertise is top notch and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone !!! His staff is very professional and Katie is the absolute best !

Dr. Vavvas explains the medical problems which can be very complex in language that can be easily understood by non-medical personnel. I am so very pleased to be a patient of his, actually Honored.
Dr. Vavvas saved my vision and continues to watch it carefully. He is busy and doesn’t spend much time with you at all followup appointments but he is efficient and effective. I like the fact that he does research in this area as it is so important for future improvements in medicine. Katie, at the desk, is amazing.
