Dr VanSickle did my DBS surgery for Parkinson's and Essential Tremor. Not only is he one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have ever met, he is also the best at what he does! My results from robotic-guided Asleep DBS are miraculous. I highly recommend Dr. VanSickle!
Dr. Vansickle was highly recommended to me. I met him once before my cervical fusion, and briefly before my procedure. My main complaint is with his PA, Patricia. She was the most difficult, uncaring, and unprofessional representative that I had the misfortune to meet. My surgery, which in it's self was taxing & painful, was compounded with the added stress of having to deal with Patricia. She was curt and uninformed, & at no point offered any useful information regarding postoperative care
Dr VanSickle is a caring, compassionate, and very gifted surgeon. I had DBS surgery for Parkinsons, and my tremors have stopped. His PA has been very patient and caring with me as well. Even with some complications, the surgery has improved my life greatly.
After having one failed spine surgery,I was desperate for answers to fix my on chronic back pain.I had tried everything prior to meeting Dr. Vansickle. He came highly reccomended from many of his peers. I was able to book my initial consultation with him in a timely manner, and was hopeful after our first meeting. I had my second back surgery with him just a few months after our initial consultation. 3 yrs. later I stand here totally, pain-free, happy, and have a new lease on life thanks to Dr.V
Listened carefully, showed me the MRI's, offered options and gave me choices so I could make an informed decision. At the time, I was in a lot of pain and didn't ask questions about the surgery as I would like. Little or no educational process about the procedure or what to expect, what to prepare for at home, what kind of pain relief I would expect. I saw Dr. V for a brain lesion a number of years ago and was very impressed with his humanity, thouroughness and confidence. More education!
Dr. VanSickle proved he is one of the best surgeons performing Deep Brain Stimulation ?DBS? surgery anywhere. His precise placement of the leads in my brain resulted in dramatic improvement in my Parkinson?s symptoms including: posture, gait, fine motor skills, speech and renewed ability perform activities quickly and easily. The surgery rolled back my symptoms to a time prior to diagnosis 10 years ago. Stopped taking 2 of 4 drugs previously required to manage the symptoms. A+ bedside manner.
