Dr. Garras is such a great Dr. He did a total ankle replacement on me. He did his best to keep me out of pain and did a fantastic job. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Garras is an extremely competent individual & is equal parts blunt & reassuring. He doesn’t beat around the bush & will give you a truthful assessment of your injury. I was very satisfied with all steps of treatment from the first consultation through surgery and all follow up visits. I suffered an extremely serious ankle injury & am now walking again thanks to Dr Garras.
Dr David Garras is an amazing Orthopoedic surgeon who took over my daughter’s critical case after treating her in the OR while she was still in intensive care unit at Christ Hospital. He spent day and night as needed putting her back together and would not allow anyone else to treat her without authorization. His persistence to save her legs was beyond amazing. I have only once before seen such personal care by a physician. His demeanor in pre-op and post operative conversation was down to earth
Looking for a highly skilled, compassionate doctor who puts his patients first? Look no further than Dr. Garras. He's a down-to-earth doc who doesn't push surgery as the only option. He treated me until surgery was my LAST option and respected my decisions all along the way. If arthritis in your foot is affecting your quality of life, this is the doctor you want to see. Also, every patient, nurse and PT person I've encountered has had only great things to say about him. That speaks volumes!
Dr. Garras was able to help heal a stress fracture in my foot, that allowed me to complete the Chicago Marathon. Without surgery!
I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the outcome of my surgery. I had a hammer toe straightened and it is not straight. Whenever I go walking or yoga I feel this toe and it so very bothersome!!! Instead of dealing with the problem he wanted to know if I wanted the other foot done. I am going to have to have something else done to try and fix this problem. But I won’t go back to Dr. Garras when you have to wait 45 minute to an hour to see him..... no way-not going back

Dr. Garras is a very personable physician that takes the time to explain your medical condition. He also makes you comfortable and puts you at ease. He took the MRI of my foot and explained the abnormalities of the anatomy of my foot and allowed me to make the decision of what my options were. I went in very nervous but left feeling that I was heard and also that I was treated like a family member. I definitely would recommend Dr. Garras to anyone that has a foot problem. He's the best!!!
Dr Garras was extremely caring and understanding. He never made his time feel rushed and answered any questions I had.
