My experience with Dr. David Malone was concerning. I chose him because my PCP said he was a man of faith, and I was trying to decide between an orthopedic surgeon and a neurosurgeon, so I consulted both Dr. Malone and another Dr. When the other Dr. recommended a corpectomy, I asked Dr. Malone to review my CT scan to determine whether that surgery was appropriate. He ordered a broad range of x-rays, did a thorough physical exam and wasn't in a rush. It gave me great relief after he patiently explained why my back should not be operated on, due to my other health problems (auto-immune, aorta stint, etc.) First surgeon gave me 10 min appointment and wanted to operate quickly. Grateful my family wanted a second opinion. Thank you Dr. Malone for your wisdom and for giving me all the time I needed to understand.
I am 3mos post op and feeling fabulous! No more pain shooting down my leg, no more pain in my lower back. A little stiff, but PT is working that out. I had fusion at L3L4L5, 3 screws with a plate and spacers. Dr Malone was exceptional at explaining my options! His staff (Kate) was so helpful answering additional questions. One of the reasons I selected Dr Malone to be my surgeon is because of all the positive and detailed reviews some of his former patients took the time to write regarding their experience with him as their surgeon. If you're looking for a the best Dr, he is the one. He did my lumbar surgery with complete success. He gave me my life back. Also he is the nicest person too!
He surgically fixed the pinched nerve in my neck 7 years ago. No problems since.
I was reading my Dr. Malone review. I think he is not only very skilled but a great man. My problem is I gave him five stars and the posted review on the page, put one star. I was devasted as I put my full trust in Dr. Malone and his staff. He is the only Dr. that operated on my C-spine that I had no stress before the surgery. I wish I could delete the other post. If anyone knows how let me know, as this Dr. is all a five star Dr. should be. My apologies to Dr. Zmaline and staff.
He is the best in the area....bar none. If you want the best, and I have seen tons of back specialists. He is honest, upfront, tells it like it is. You get the impression he has seen everything. Great guy!
