I have not had work done by Dr Bates yet but I can tell you as a nervous patient, he went out of his way to let me come and meet him and staff and answer my concerns in a very easy going and caring way. I have no doubt he cares greatly for his patients , staff and community and he would be worth giving a shot for dental care!
Dr. Bates came highly recommended from a co-worker 8 years ago and I've been going there since that time. I have great respect for him. He is very thorough when examining, explaining conditions, and recommending treatment options. He recognizes when some conditions may be better treated by a specialist and has referred me to very competent collegues for specialty care. Convenient location, convenient parking. Office is not fancy. Always on time. Very competent.
This particular experience goes back about 13 years, but take it for what it is worth. My two year-old daughter fell and knocked her two front teeth forward so that they were perpendicular to her bottom teeth. Dr. Bates assured me that the teeth would move back into place and they did! (consult via phone call...) However, since the impact of her of fall was so hard, Dr. Bates needed to make certain her teeth were healthy and checked her out anyway.
