Our family has been with Dr Hickman for 20 years. He is the only reason we stay with what is now Ascension. His staff is friendly and he is easy to talk to.

I always look forward to my routine visits. Dr. Hickman is down to earth and easy to talk to about anything. He breaks complicated things down where I can understand them. Dr. Hickman shows a genuine concern for you as a person rather than just a patient. He has a wonderful sense of humor and great exam table manner. His staff treat you like family. This boring patient greatly appreciates him and his staff. Heck, I would drive 2 hours for a check-up.
Dr. Hickman is ok as a family doctor, but he and his office staff are VERY unresponsive and seemingly uncaring. This attitude has led to my blood sugar being quite high now and even following numerous attempts to get him, or anyone to help, nothing has been done. Needless to say, my wife and are leaving this practice.
My wife and I have been under Dr Hickman's care for 35+ years and cannot imagine better care. He cares for his patients and has a great bedside manner as well. I have and will continue to recommend Dr Hickman in Pace.

Dr Hickman is a patient, doesn't rush through my visits. He has always taken care of my problem first time every time. I wouldn't trade him for another Dr.
Dr Hickman is an excellent physician who is gifted at listening and he approachs my health concerns with the proper testing and medication. I can sincerely recommend his capable knowledgeable experienced compassionate way of dealing with his patients.
