I had hip replacement surgery in December of 2020. The procedure went flawlessly. I went to the Oregon Surgical institute and it was much better than going to the hospital. Lot less people and reduced risk of COVID exposure. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. Surgery at 9 and on my way home around 1 pm. The post op care has been nothing short of phenomenal. Dr. Nanson is very personable and willing to answer questions during appointments. He explains diagnosis and procedures in an understandable manner.
Dr Nanson is the BEST Orthopedic doctor that I’ve ever seen & I’ve seen a few! He is kind & compassionate & willing to do all that he can to help alleviate the pain & suffering from degenerative joint disease. The shots I get in my knees are virtually painless and improve my situation tremendously! I would recommend him as the very first doctor to see if you need help. I am a docctor and I have high standards. Dr. Nanson and ALL of his staff were very competent, compassionate and helpful. He did a beautiful job on my hip surgery. His staff and the staff of the Oregon Surgical Institute (OSI) exceeded my expectations by far. I was a pretty wimpy patient and I felt very well cared for and supported from pre surgery to 3 weeks post surgery. If I ever need any other orthopedic work I know where to go and I would want to be at OSI. I give it a 10/10.
Very professional and high experience with both hip and knee replacement. Dr. Nanson has performed both surgeries on me and recovery for my knee was amazing and I am 2 weeks into my hip replacement recovery and it is going great. If you need any of these joints replaced you cannot go wrong with Dr Nanson. No reservation recommendation. I'm very pleased with my experience with Dr Nanson and the staff at Orthopedics Northwest. I was confident with the advice given and I felt well cared for throughout my surgery and subsequent visits.
Hip replacement performed on 12/8, off narcotics on 12/18 and walking with cane. 12/22 doing great with little discomfort and now time to get into PT. Whole experience with Dr Nanson was wonderful and looking forward to the pain free life soon... Jack

Dr Nanson is treating me for Osteoarthritis of my knee. He is informative and professional. He answers my questions and treats me with care. I never feel he is rushing to leave. I would definitely recommend Dr Nanson and his staff.
