I had my operation on my low back at the and of January, 2018. It was done by dr. Kanaly. I had such a horrible pain in my low Back , I couldn’t walk even to the bathroom last 2 month before that operation. Dr Kanaly saved my life. I had severe back pain for over 4 months. After trying physical therapy, pain management, resting, yoga and massage nothing seemed to work. I finally went for an MRI and found I had a bulging disk. My PCP referred me To Dr. Kanaly and he did surgery a few weeks later. He is very kind, he explained everything to me about what was wrong with my back while showing me the MRI results. Surgery was a breeze and my recovery was easy. I can't thank this man enough I am now pain free.
A fantastic Surgeon. He performed Spinal Stenosis surgery on me and turned my life around. With out him and his staff at Saint Annes Hospital, I'd still be walking with a cane and in horrific pain. Thank you Dr. Kanaly
I am very happy with the operation Dr Kanaly did to me before this operation I was in pain everyday I went to see Dr Kanaly and he see me and he told me better do this operation I sad ok I did ,was the best thing after the operation in the afternoon I went to walk with the nurses and I don't fell any pain I was so happy thanks Dr Kanaly ,I recomend you all my family and friends ,you and all the nurses in S Anes hospital they are the best I am thank all of you and I wish all of you the best ,
As a year and a half long sufferer of sciatic nerve pain, and (finally) getting a proper diagnosis, and being referred out to Dr. K's office, I found his understanding, explanation and proposed course of action very refreshing. I'd been suffering from significant sciatic pain for over a year, (left side hip/leg/calf/foot, and worried about damages from it not being corrected. MRI showed I was in a bad way and required surgery, and having just had it done, I'm about 99% free from all symptoms.
Dr. Kanaly patiently explained my condition and options in terms I could understand. I expected to be in a good deal of pain following surgery but was thrilled to wake up with little discomfort of any kind (I never even had to fill the pain prescription-testament in my mind to the care he takes while operating) and the lost sensitivity and motor skills restored. 100% functionality at work now, it's as if I never injured my neck at all. I could not have asked for this experience to go better
From my first microdiscetomy appointment, he took the time to explain the procedure, risks and recovery time line. Made sure all my questions were answered and that I understood EVERYTHING. 3 days before being released for work I reinjured my back (which was part of the 13% he mentioned previous) he fit me into his already busy schedule and performed another surgery while again making sure NO stones were unturned . He is absolutely amazing! Highly recommended!
I feel so blessed to have Dr. Kanaly to have done my back surgery. Dr. Kanaly after 4 mo. of going thru injections, physical therapy and severe pain gave me my life back. I can now enjoy my Grandchildren, go shopping and live a normal life.
No bedside manner. I felt like he thought I was wasting his time because I don’t need surgery. Wouldn’t answer my questions about optional treatment or time off from work/light duty. Told me he won’t be seeing me again and the people who would will need to answer my questions. Seemed angry at my pcp for the referral. Will not go back even if he was the only one who could save my life.
