I am 14 years old and I was recently operated for correction of my bunions. Over the summer, I had surgery on my right foot and later in the fall, I had the surgery again on my left foot. I had an overall good experience and I am no longer in pain. Dr.Messina was very helpful and explained everything that would happen. The surgery was good. Dr. Messina is a friendly, amazing doctor. If you have questions he will give you his honest answer/opinion. I would recommend him to anyone that has ankle problem. I met him when I hurt my ankle the first time around. I tried to let my ankle recover on it own before I said yes to surgery. It didn't recover fully. I couldn't walk without having my ankle slipping, popping and be painful. It would be swollen even when I was sitting down I literally had to give up on my active life style. I highly recommend Dr. Carlo Messina and his staff. Not only is he a highly skilled doctor, he is also very caring and just a nice person! He spends whatever time is necessary to meet your needs.
