Dr Closson is a one of a kind Doctor. He has walked me through numerous procedures, patted my back when I needed an emergent referral to a surgeon, and just listened and educated me about my condition. Scheduling is simple, although you have to see his PA before you get to him (I do not like her as I do not think she listens). His other staff however, are not as efficient as he is and getting refills can be difficult. Dr. Closson was gentle, sympathetic and most important relieved my neck pain so I could once again enjoy life. I highly recommend.
I called three times over a 2-day period trying to set up an initial appointment before anyone returned my calls. When I’ve had questions, I never was able to speak to an actual human being. On my first visit, I told staff I needed them to contact my insurance company to get an authorization number for the MRI Dr. Closson prescribed. It took them 6 weeks before they got the information and then they didn’t even call me when they received it. This is a very caring and intelligent doctor. I ttust him with my back problems, which are quite serious.
Did not seem worried about me as a patient.Referred me to University of Md in Baltimore for facet joint injections. Did not communicate with them causing me troubles. Don't waste your time
I've seen this doctor for the past 19 months. The first visit I was hopeless at regaining my life. I was mauled by a dog & in car accidents. I'm allergic to most pain meds. Previous "pain Doctors" dismissed me as soon as they found out narcotics were not an option. Having worked in Medicine for 17 years I know drugs are not the only option & assumed that since I was out of medicine for 10 years advances had to have been made.
