Dr Yu has horrible supporting staff and you never get to see him, you just will see different PAs ever time that you go in for an office visit. Supporting staff is rude, ignorant, will yell at you on a telephone call, and if you express your dissatisfaction with him or a PA, you will be yelled at to go find another doctor to treat you.
He did my surgery, but I never actually met him. Other doctors continued my xare in the hospital. Same for my follow up xare.
First of all, I never actually got to see Doctor Yu. When I went for my appointment, they told me he was busy in surgery so I would need to see his physician's assistant. It was the old bait and switch. She was very nice but she wasn't who I came to see. Then she sent me for an EMG. After the EMG I sent a message through AHN MyChart to explain the results and ask what the next step was. Long waits. Very little discussion on his part
He’s an amazingly caring doctor who wants to see his patients live a better and pain free life. He placed an artificial disc between my L5-S1 and took care of a problem I’ve had for over 10 years. His bedside care in the hospital was the best I could hope for. The surgery was scheduled with another surgeon years ago and a change with insurance canceled it. I had cervical fusion with Dr Yu in may 2020. After the surgery there was countless issues. I just had an appt with him January 17,2022 and dr Yu was unavailable to meet with me. The PA told me that he didn’t know how long dr Yu would be, but apparently he was very behind. Meanwhile it had just snowed and they were short staffed. But not knowing how long it would take was unacceptable. I had a severe migraine when I arrived and was nauseous due to it. And I still got no answers. He said that he was going to fix me and help me. I got a back surgery because they told me that I had scoliosis. He stopped prescribing me pain meds 2 weeks after my surgery. For the past 6 years I have been struggling to walk and bend over. I use to be able to wipe myself and paint my own toe nails. now I have to ask my daughter to tie my shoes. He is a FRAUD.
