This is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I came to him seeking a second opinion and he actually threw me out of his office because I had already seen another gastroenterologist! I was humiliated. I begged him for help and and he just turned his back on me and walked out the door. When I got visibly and LOUDLY upset, he went into his private office and closed the door on me! Dr. Jathal apparently does not care about his patients. I asked for my last record for a 2nd opinion, the office manager rudely said, take your records and don't come back! She said Dr. Jathal has a "Policy" not to see any one who questions him! He has not returned my calls, or responded to my letter to speak with him. Apparently he has just dismissed me. Dr Jathal is the worst doctor I've ever encountered. Still bleeding and leaking from a colonoscopy he gave me last year. Walked out feeling like he didn't use lube. Asked him about the bleeding and he said it's "normal." It's not normal. Dr Jathal also misdiagnosed gallbladder attacks and when four (non-GI) doctors recommended emergency surgery, Dr Jathal was unavailable for concurrence (or non-concurrence) for four days. Dr. Jathal is a wonderful doctor. Very caring and extremely knowledgeable. He is so good I've recommended him for my daughter. The staff is happy (great sign) and took very good care of me. Don't hesitate to go to Dr. Jathals office.
Dr Jathal has a great bedside manner. He is extremely nice and wants to work with you to find the best treatment for your diagnosis. After a scary encounter with UC, he was a lifesaver. I would definitely recommend him to other GI patients.
