I'm New to the area and wanted to start biking to work. I'm not an avid biker and really didn't know the first thing about it. I was intimidated at first but they made me feel at home and teach me something new every time I walk in! Awesome place, awesome people!
This shop sells lots of high quality bike parts and accessories. If you are looking for a place to regularly shop, this one is probably the one to be.
Blew a tire but Ferndale Bike Shop was there to save the day
Hands down the best bike shop in the area and I can say that because I've been to all of them today (trek, klm, d and d). Even though they are a tenth he size of those places they make up for it with excellent customer service and extremely quality products and selection. Don't go anywhere else.
My fiancé and I went to DFBS for the first time today to purchase bikes; we both used to own them, but haven't had them for a few years, and weren't really sure what we needed. We explained that we are casual riders and gave a price point, and the sales guy spent a lot of time with us explaining the different options and letting us test ride several bikes. Couldn't ask for anything better. They fixed my wheel and helped me fix my tire. Amazing people, even better service. If you're in Detroit or Ferndale this is the shop to go to. They got them in both cities. So stop slacking and putting it off and go get your ride fixed.
Going on a 40-mile bike trip this weekend, but my bike (which hadn't been ridden since last summer) wasn't exactly in tip-top shape. Even though they had a lot going on, the Ferndale Bike Shop completely took care of me: tuned up my bike, filled the tires, checked for leaks, etc. Excellent, excellent service. Beautiful, sweet dogs. Ridiculously cool employees. 100/100 recommend. Will definitely be coming in again. Check it out -- you won't be disappointed!!!
