Appointment at 2:15; arrived on time and checked in. 45 min. later I went desk and said I would have to reschedule as I had a an appointment at 3:45. I was told I was next in line and my appointment would take 45 minutes. I said I would have to reschedule. I was told the next appointment would be in October - 3 months later. No apology; no attempt to reschedule sooner. I have been going to Dr. Sakamoto for 10 years; I think he is a good doctor but apparently is too successful to provide care and consideration to his patients... read more

I was told by another doctor for Lens Crafters that I was blind in my left eye due to a detached retina... when sent by DMV to opthamologist- Dr. Sakamoto was the only one taking appointments- and after an exam told me that I had a bad cataract but that I am NOT blind in that eye and will need surgery soon- that was almost 2 year ago.

I have always taken my family here, I used to take my grandma to his father. I take my dad here now, however the receptionist is extremely rude, mere mentioning that my dad is having trouble driving set her off. Being a doctor myself I would never stand for my staff speaking to patients in such a curt and rude manner. Hearing your patient out is not what should be considered angering. And responding to them suggesting you don't have time to take note of their chief complaint is unacceptable.
