Like this restaurant been coming about 23 years.Saturday was there and had an awesome breakfast i am a little sad the new owners no longer put a scripture in the window.The waitress actually told me alot of people have noticed so maybe the new people just didn't know the older owners did this cool little thing :)
It's super crowded in here and I'm someone prone to claustrophobia but the people behind the counter are fantastic and the chocolate banana pancakes are the best pancakes I have ever had in my life. My husband and brother in law had the raspberry stuffed French toast and they said it was the best French toast they have ever had before so I think this was a very successful trip and I am very glad we stopped in. I think we will definitely come back if we have a chance.
I was in town on business and visited this neighborhood diner for breakfast. I had a simple breakfast of eggs, home fries, hot rope sausage & marbled rye toast. It couldn't have been more perfect.
This is the best place to eat on my opinion, great service and the food is unmatched, it is a little small but the food makes up for it, you will never regret it.
I'm from Maryland and my family and I went to Pittsburgh to see the Steelers play. I saw this restaurant on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives a few years back. We made plans to have breakfast there and we weren't disappointed. My son couldn't make his mind up what to get so he ordered three different dishes. I have to say that it was worth the wait. The food was great the people made you feel at home. Thank you for a great experience we will be back.
It's very much over-rated due to Diners,Drive-in and Dives visit in 2008. They try to leverage that visit by putting a huge sign in the window. It's not about the food it's about Guy's visit. It's very uncomfortable with tables very close. Like eating in a telephone booth. Food is not special and very average at best. It's really not worth the wait folks. Pamela's is far superior.
