Personal Favorite – When I received a gift certificate from my best friend from here, I was somewhat skeptical. Terrible experience – I have never writen a review but wish I had had the chance to read this before I booked a facial there. I had my worst spa experience ever. While the spa is clean and people are very nice, it was very clinical and not at all relaxing. There was minimal massage and I spent a long time alone in the room. Warm and cozy atmosphere with terrfic staff! – Such a warm and cozy atmosphere, unlike many spas in Houston that remind me of sterile hospital rooms. The spa is inviting with its shabby-chic decor and soft lighting. You are truly able to relax. Mimi brings in only the best massage therapists. The facials are wonderful, too. Gratuity is mandatory – I tried this spa because I was given a gift certificate. I was impressed with my first visit. The place is very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. The treatment itself was nice, so I deciced I would try the place again for another treatment. When I called to reschedule I was told a mandatory 18% gratuity would be added to the fee. An oasis of relaxation – I booked an appointment for my wife with Christina. Let me say this: she was and has been the most courteous and most knowledgeable spa manager I have ever spoken to. She went over with me in great detail all of the services the spa offered. I settled on a gift certificate, and Christina mailed it out to my wife in a beautiful envelope, along with a menu (who ever thought a spa had one!?!) of their services, and a very tastefully personalized thank you note. I Found My New Spa! – I bought my sister a gift certificate here for her birthday and decided to join her for a day of beauty. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. We both got the Classic French facial and Hot Stone massages. The esthetician had a wonderful touch and was very knowledgeable without being too pushy. We recieved the massages in the same room and were served mimosas afterwards. This is a very intimate spa and the staff is so welcoming. I would reccomend to anyone, in fact, I already have!
Bad Experience – Did not like the atmosphere at all. I felt so cramped and claustrophobic. The staff was trying way too hard, and it all seemed so rehearsed and fake. They practically told me what to rate them on here which obviously contradicted with the way I feel. Will not return, will not refer friends, way too pricey for lack of skills.
Massage service only used – The place is a little noisy for massage sometimes but the tables are very, very comfortable. The massage is good but they seem a little too modest thus leaving several large muscle groups unmassaged. Still for proximity and price I would have to recommend the massage and they tend to have more openings for last minute massage.
