We are a laid back family style restaurant. We specialize in the original Calabash fried seafood: shrimp, flounder, scallops, oysters, deviled crabs and the best hushpuppies in the Carolinas. We also serve the best certified angus steaks in the area.

Service was great, view was great, food was ok steak was overcooked, price was about what you would expect for the type of restaurant it is and the location. Will give them another try sometime.
Food was great. Waitress (Carly) was awesome. We eat there every trip to the beach. Will definitely keep going!
Shrimp was pretty greasy, and the flounder bland and had the skin on it, which the ladies did not appreciate. Prefer another, nearby eatery.
Very hot in the restaurant flounder was dry best thing I ate was the slaw & my shrimp. Very disappointing. Ella's from now own. Wanted to eat outside which is one of the reasons I choose to eat there for my Birthday. We were told the outside eating area was directly in the sun so another disappointment. Won't be back
Food was bland... no flavor at all.. after we doctored it up with salt, pepper and steak sauce was ok... steak was very tender... shrimp was small salad type shrimp... looked like it came out of a bag from walmart
We've always eaten at Dockside when in Calabash, but I must say we were a bit disappointed. Portions were smaller, and it just wasn't as good. May try another restaurant next time.
I give it a 3 for our waitress only! the food was tasteless and what's with those shrimp that kind of tasted previous frozen....I can't recommend and won't be back!
Great food and waterfront view! Have been several times over many years; always pleased with experience!
Been going for Dockside for years when are in the area it was great was usual.
