Arrived at 5:15 and we were 1st to be seated for evening meal. By about 5:45 every seat was filled. Wide variety of selections. Prices range from under $10 for sandwiches to $20+ for full dinner menu. Meals served on paper plates with plastic dinnerware, so don't expect anything fancy. Ample size round tables with plain round top bar stools seat 6 comfortably, outdoors under a broad umbrella. Optional bench seats (limited) available at a long table facing the docks. Two servers handled the entire place very efficiently. All ... read more

We ate there last fall (2017) and found it to be some of the best seafood in Calabash, but we ate there last week and were greatly disappointed. The fish batter had been changed to some very thin floury flour, and the fries changed from fresh cut potatoes to the more institutional battered crispy fries that are more crust than anything else. We ate at the Seafood Hut the next day and the food there was great...so no more Dockside.

Eat here every chance we get. Awesome food, great wait staff. Every one is friendly. The devil crab is the best i have ever had. If I didn’t live 4 hours away id eat here every weekend.

The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. The portion sizes were good. The food, however, was really bland and disappointing. Husband had the seafood platter, I had scallops, one child had shrimp and the other 2 had chicken. Across the board, it was pretty tasteless. This was our first visit and we would definitely try other local seafood restaurants before returning.

There was no wait time. Food was good. We had to repeatedly ask for things... they forgot. The staff was friendly, just seemed unorganized, when having to ask for items at least 2x.
