The atmosphere and food were great. I had the half chicken roasted on the spit!! Seasoned and crispy.
We decided to eat at the Tavern on a whim while on a day trip exploring Gettysburg. As a current history major, I loved the history of the house and how they kept it very true to its character. The food was phenomenal and the drinks, especially the Rum Bellies one, was out of this world! The service was top notch and we loved the environment. I can't say enough to express how much we loved our dining experience!
We were there in Sept of 2016. My wife and best friend have French Onion soup which the best they ever had . Do we decided to make a 2 1/2 drive back to eat there again . Fantastic food.

Great food and service! Wonderful atmosphere! We've been going here for over 20 years. We've been to the tavern as well as the upstairs dinning room. It's never disappointing! We now have all our kids hocked on the place. Our daughters first choice for her birthday dinner is always the Dobbin House. FYI the bed and breakfast is a great place to stay as well.

We went there for our anniversary. The decor and atmosphere was wonderful. And our dishes were meticulously prepared. I had the Mesquite grilled salmon and it was to Perfection. The food was delivered piping hot and freshly prepared. I'm unable to eat gluten or dairy and they were able to modify the salmon to fit my dietary needs. A wonderful place and a wonderful experience and we hope to be back soon. My husband had an amaretto coffee with his dessert and was very pleased and plans to repeat that experience as well.
