Ate in the Tavern section. Excellent French onion soup. Great atmosphere and period decorations and servers. Will definitely be back again!

Food was very good. Loved the atmosphere. A bit "tight" downstairs but that's ok. The only minor complaint would be that the young guy lighting candles reached across our table 2x between me and my wife without once saying "excuse me". We will definitely go back the next time we're in Gettysburg.

Excellent! Long wait, but well worth it. We ate in the cellar- Springhouse Tavern. Great decor and waitstaff dress. Great ales on draft. Amazing French Onion Soup!! The homemade blue dressing was the best I've ever had. My husband's steak was perfect, and my "Spit Roasted Chicken" was juicy & delicious. I highly recommend the warm pecan pie for dessert. *It is a tight fit for 2-top tables so go with 3 or 4 people for a booth.

I had my 70th Birthday celebration here and it was a wonderful experience. The waitresses were the best I have ever experienced for a large crowd. They cut my cake and served it. I will be returning for my 80th and I hope sooner.
