I just read about the breastfeeding mama. I would have cried! How totally awful for someone to be treated that way.

Business response:

Hi, Amber. The Summit is a place for families & friends of all ages to eat, play, and shop. We’re committed to supporting our littlest shoppers and nursing mothers—we want everyone to feel welcome. A nursing and changing area is now set up in the Santa space. If you have any questions or would like to speak with someone at The Summit, please message us your personal contact information and we will reach out as soon as possible.

when Cyprus and June are gone it will be better telling a mother to feed her child in a bathroom, not dressing room. that lady should be ashamed!

Horrible. How can you let a store like Cypress & June humiliate a nursing mom? To yell and belittle her in front of customers is disgusting.

Business response:

Please make sure that your pop up shops that you allow at your establishment know the law of breastfeeding. Your pop up shop Cypress and June DOES NOT. She was extremely rude to a nursing mother on 12/15/2018 and told her to go to the bathroom to nurse that her dressing room was for clean clothes only. Seriously? You do realize that your set up in the middle of Santa Claus and there’s crying kids everywhere. That baby needed to eat just as the owner did sitting at her desk. The mother was feeding her baby privately and not o... read more

I spend quite a bit of $ at the Summit and enjoy going there. And, I will return when Cypress and June are no longer there. Not only were the actions of Devon Malloy illegal, but it was just downright rude to shame a nursing mom. Hoping the Summit will correct this as I had plans for after holiday shopping.

I’m appalled at the treatment a fellow breastfeeding mom received today at Cypress and June...appalled. We have the right to nurse our babies and our babies have the right to eat without discrimination.
