There are some fun things to do here for kids. But compared to similar types of places elsewhere, even in towns smaller than Halifax, the Discovery Centre is quite limited. For example, the market play area and bubble room here are much less engaging than elsewhere. Some of the demos and activities they run are cool and educational (like elephant toothpaste), whereas some are as simple as building with Legos. It was pretty good would recommend it for kids over 4 though there is a bit there for the young ones
