This place sucks!!!! Since the first time that I bought tires a couple of months ago it has been a night mare!!! What a rip off!!!
OMgosh!!! Today, I took my tire with a screw in it to Discount Tire in Portage. Jason, the manager, was very helpful and had a young man fix my tire, put tire back on my car, and then put my spare and tools put back in my car!!! Every employee I encountered was very courteous and professional! I will definitely recommend Discount Tire to all of my family and friends, and go back when I need to buy new tires!!!
Read the fine print! I purchased the extended warranty because I thought that would protect me but I was very wrong! I got 34,000 miles out of 65,000 mile tires. I went into the store because my tires were making a funny noise and I was told that 3 of them are bald. Apparently my warranty doesn't cover this at all and I would have to pay for 3 new tires. Very upset and disappointed about this. I feel completely scammed!
I had a nail in my tire and came in to get it plugged. This place was very professional and friendly. And they didn’t charge me anything! I initially went to Quick Lane in Hobart, and they were going to charge me $24.99 for the same service! Discount Tire is the best and will forever have my business. Awesome place!!
A huge shout out and thank you to DISCOUNT TIRES on Rt. 6 in Portage for showing compassion to my sister and brother-in-law today. They stopped in there today to have a slow leak in their tire fixed. It turned out to be more then a leak, it was a gash on the side of the tire which meant the tire had to be replaced costing $68.00!! They were on their way to Rush in Chicago to have a conference with doctors about sugery my brother-in-law had last week. If I could give one star I would. Employees here are a joke. Called for tire replacements because of a flat at 11am this morning and was told nothing was open until tomorrow. Went online and they have appointments from 130PM to the nd of their day. U work for customer care = needing people to pay for your services. So if u lie because of laziness and ignorance people don’t pay the business you work for and you not get a paycheck either. The stupidity is real here.
Promt service. Friendly. I had a screw in my tire which was removed and plugged. All under 25 min.and no charge. Will go back for tires soo.
