Dirty Dog Bar is one of Hyde Park's favorite spots for live music in a fun and lively atmosphere. The full bar allows you to order any drink your heart desires while listening to some great live music. The bar is pretty big, making for some really awesome times with groups of friends just at the bar or near the stage. Dirty Dog also doubles as a sports bar, with TVs showing all the most important games. Billiards, shuffleboard and air hockey to add to the fun.

Musicians beware! This venue is very unprofessional and is constantly screwing over small time bands for their own profit. Unless you get hundreds of people in the door then you will either get paid peanuts or end up owing them money. Easily the most pathetic excuse of a venue that i have talked to. All bands should boycott this shit hole.

Absolutely awful and rude staff, particularly a certain doorman who thinks it's somehow funny to insult women who are trying to enter. I wouldn't spend a single cent there and I would suggest any decent band finding a venue where the staff doesn't abuse their customers. Maybe get rid of your employees who don't know the difference between playful banter and being an outright offensive and abusive jerk. It's a pretty bad look.
Love this venue! The place is awesome. The staff are always friendly, the drinks are great, and the bands they book are phenomenal. Plus they have the best pizza in Austin right next door to them. Everyone that says otherwise need to get off of their high horse. Great work gentleman! I will be coming back more frequently! Walked in and was greeted as if I'd stole from them... Thought it was just an atmosphere thing, so shrugged it off... Tried talking to the staff, and found 1 guy that was worth his weight, then the closer it got to show time, that quickly faded... By the end of the show, I was done... Screw this place... I wouldn't come in that place if I was just a patron if they were giving free drinks... Not even gonna touch on how the pay was...
