Dirty Dog Bar is one of Hyde Park's favorite spots for live music in a fun and lively atmosphere. The full bar allows you to order any drink your heart desires while listening to some great live music. The bar is pretty big, making for some really awesome times with groups of friends just at the bar or near the stage. Dirty Dog also doubles as a sports bar, with TVs showing all the most important games. Billiards, shuffleboard and air hockey to add to the fun.

AWESOME drinks and atmosphere. Kinda like the Old School Star Club, the Trails Inn, or Cap's. Drink was well poured (STRONG, but that's a GOOD thing ) Jp

During the 30 minutes I was at coyote ugly none of the Chicks dancing on the bar gave me a beer. So I went over to this place met a kick ass doorman and a bad ass bartender and enjoyed some great tunes . If felt like they handed me a beer as I walked in the door absolute heaven!
This is my favorite spot downtown. Yes, it's dirty. You don't go there for frills. You go there for awesome music and to avoid all the other 6th street bars that are exactly the same. I'll happily accept disgusting bathrooms in exchange for Pantera, Metallica, Slipknot, etc to be playing in the background. �
This place sucks, the sound guy and I use the at term slightly, Mikey has NO IDEA HOW TO MIX AND SHOULD NEVER EVER TOUCH A SOUND BOARD, and gets intimidated by people that do, touring bands watch out for the promoters on this club

You are probably the most unprofessional crew / tour manager we have ever dealt with out of thousands of bands. Bands love playing at dirty dog. Our sound tech gets compliments everyday. Had no problems with any of the staff, the chick (HAWK) selling the t-shirts is smoking HOT!!! Excellent place.
I love this bar people are so awesome. Love their merchandise love the name if your ever downtown and you love metal, bikes and dirty bitches. Come on down to the dirty dog.... You won't regret it.....
This is by far the best bar in Austin. Bartenders are great. Good reflection on great ownership.
