Dirty Dog Bar is one of Hyde Park's favorite spots for live music in a fun and lively atmosphere. The full bar allows you to order any drink your heart desires while listening to some great live music. The bar is pretty big, making for some really awesome times with groups of friends just at the bar or near the stage. Dirty Dog also doubles as a sports bar, with TVs showing all the most important games. Billiards, shuffleboard and air hockey to add to the fun.

Seeing all of these claims that Dirty Dog is racist really blew me away. I'm Mexican, my boyfriend is mixed (black and white), and my friends are all the colors of the rainbow, so if they were racist I feel like we would have noticed at some point in the last 6 years. My experiences range from a party night out to see an awesome band I've never heard of, to a night that I just needed a drink and a friend. Dirty Dog Bar needs to work on it's atmosphere, and the company they keep. Austin just isn't the city to cater to hate groups.
Friendly staff, dope music. Used to drink here regularly, all the free water I can drink now though. The staff makes me feel like family.
Dirty dog is one of the last local spots on 6th. Been going there for several years and they always take great care of me and everyone that comes in. Good bands and lots of tvs to watch the game.
Had a great time every time I’ve been here. Drinks are strong, bartenders are friendly.
Dirty Dog has long been a notorious hangout for all sorts of right-wing hate groups, like the Proud Boys, when they come to Austin to try to harass and intimidate people who actually live here. Love this place!! Bands were awesome. I will come again.
This is the best bar on 6th for a laid back environment where you feel like family. Great for a chill Sunday of football, or a fun night of music Thurs-Sat. Everyone is super kind to all walks of life and prices are great!
