Dirty Dog Bar is one of Hyde Park's favorite spots for live music in a fun and lively atmosphere. The full bar allows you to order any drink your heart desires while listening to some great live music. The bar is pretty big, making for some really awesome times with groups of friends just at the bar or near the stage. Dirty Dog also doubles as a sports bar, with TVs showing all the most important games. Billiards, shuffleboard and air hockey to add to the fun.

Small and cluttered but a great atmosphere and the intimacy lent itself well to the live music. We saw Texas Hippie Coalition, Shaman's Harvest and Failure Anthem. They were awesome!

This is a great bar! Very friendly bartenders and great atmosphere. Ryan rocks! He's the best bartender on dirty!
The bouncers have shitty attitudes, like they don't get paid well, but sound quality wise, it's a great venue, just the bouncers ruined the whole experience, the 2 times I've been here, once in 2012 and again in 2016
This place is a pit. Half the staff was drunk at work. Seedy as hell.
They are on 6th street, have Buckethead on tap and are one of the few places in Austin that hosts death metal shows. That gets 5 stars from me all day, every day.

Love that place good music and even better people there
We chose this bar to hang out at every night while in town for the Rot Rally rather than going to any other ones because we know we will have a great time!! No reason to try other ones and waste time when you know you'll have a blast at this dive! The best! Thx Chris for an awsm time!
