Waited months and months to get an appointment with Dr. Asherman. He spent about 10 minutes telling me that he could do nothing for me. He literally picked up my file and started walking out the door while I was talking to him. He did not want to hear what I had to say or offer any other suggestions for the chronic pain in my ankle.
Dr. Asherman takes the time to listen to what is going with your concerns. He gives the complete of how to address the problem and the game plan going forward. He has been my go to doctor for foot and ankle issues for over 20 years. I trust him completely with my ability to continue walking.
Very timely, didn't keep me waiting. Staff was pleasant. Dr. Asherman was pleasant and direct.
From the consult to operation day I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Asherman. He accommodated my concerns and was a pleasure to work with. I can’t imagine a better experience for the unfortunate circumstances I was in.
After being to my pcp and a podiatrist’s where I was told there’s nothing wrong with your foot but I’ll refer you to podiatrist.. he was more interested in a splinter he had than my foot . I’m so glad my sister recommended Dr Asherman he listened to me showed me the lack of cartilage to areas in my foot explained what we can do going forward, recommend a sneaker that would hopefully be more comfortable and I couldn’t be happier with the Dr his staff and everyone at Portland orthopedic. Thank you !

Excellent service. Quick scheduling of appointment, no wait in the waiting room, both MA and Dr Asherman listened and did not rush, did a thorough evaluation and provided a diagnosis and plan / options for immediate and future. Highly recommend
All staff very expert and efficient
I was already familiar with Dr Asherman from a consult 3 years ago. This time I needed an update and second opinion on an upcoming surgery. He’s very knowledgeable in dealing with my complex foot problems: takes the broader view incorporating my age, general health and lifestyle instead of the all-too-common tunnel vision focused on one limb.
