Regarding the account number 760502798365 under company name Elegant Lighting Ltd, I sold the house on september 5th. I got a bill of due amount $537.16, of which 200 for security deposit and $275.78 for future gas payment(september 30 to Dec 13). Since I sold the house on september 5th, I shouldnot be charged for deposit and the gas payment from september 30 to dec 13).
There customer service is a joke. I inherited a phone number for one of there customers and have phoned in multiple times to get it removed and they continue to harass me. Mormal wait time is over an hour to get phoned back as well.
I do not have hot water since Saturday and Direct Energy is the most inefficient company to provide customer service . They have dispatched the third crew here since Saturday but after four days they just told me spare parts is coming from Winnipeg and still I don't have a certain date as when it gets fixed. What happens if they don't receive one payment ? The customer is Sent to collection Agency . I am not sure why this company is so unprofessionally operated ? Will not recommend it to any new customer.
My Direct Protection Plan experience has been horrible! I called at 1 am to report an emergency with our plumbing in the hopes that we would be the first in line in the morning. After having to call them again, they sent a furnace guy. We called back and asked for a plumber again. They sent a plumber who told us he didn't have the right tools and would be back, in the meantime shut off our water. It's now 7 pm and they can not send us a plumber again until tomorrow afternoon. Direct Energy Protection Plan provides terrible customer service. It is September 26. On September 2, I called in on my appliance protection plan because my oven was broken. On September 8, a repair person was finally available and determined what parts were needed and told me it would be about a week before parts would be in.
