Absolutely the worst company. We had a unique problem where my equipment wont be built for 6 months and now they are charging me insurance on something that doesnt exist yet and has no serial number and my sales guy said he was gonna take care of it and never did then when I starting calling everyday to get answers, my sales ***************** got an attitude with me and now Im just getting ignored by him and the head sale guy, they wont answer my calls or my emails. My shop had some equipment that was bought using cit group to finance the purchase. We purchased the additional insurance that they provided and was told it would replace the equipment if something happened.My shop was destroyed in the tornadoes in December 2021. horrible was led on for days to borrow a small sum, 5x the amount in collateral, with good credit, only to be shot down, after being told the loan was a sure thing. Ruined my credit score and was dismissed like a rented mule. Totally un professional kids working here consumer beware....
My company was approved for $150,000 equipment loan, I only needed $4,000. After several conversations I signed the contract (which by the way, the monthly payment was higher they originally quoted), they charged $231 from my account and said I just needed to wait for the equipment. 2 week passed without any information and decided to send them an email, which was answered with the following message: " our company decided not to give you the loan, have a great day". CIT Group is absolutely the worst. Anyone thinking of investing in this company should be aware that CIT Group is very quick to declare bankruptcy and then issue new stock. I was fooled by their claim of 100 year history and yet they were one of the first ones to go bankrupt. I lost all my investment in this so called CIT Group in 2008. And none of company managers were prosecuted for cheating the investors. This company should have been dismantled in 2008 due to their criminal actions of legally stealing investors' money. CIT Group is absolutely the worst. I asked for an account balance in April because our contract was coming to an end. They provided me with a balance and at the end of our contract in July, they charged us a termination fee, which apparently is standard even though we did not terminate the contract but actually paid it in full. They refused to give us the security deposit back and overcharged us on the last payment based on the information they provided us in April. The customer service was horrendous. Closing an account with CIT Bank is a nightmare. Not only did it take 3 months, but they failed to complete the request properly. What is even more frustrating is that they had a wire transfer option but was never explained or disclosed. I'll never bank with them and you are better off banking with someone else. What a nightmare.
