Dr. Khera was nice to talk with, but very uninterested in my medical issues. He stated multiple times he would not look into certain questions I asked about certain food groups to avoid (ie why certain foods cause inflammation). He requested labs for celiac disease when I described only acids like tomato juice bother my stomach. 'Just don't eat it.' I'm unsure if he was having an off day, but he seemed really aloof during the appointment.
First doctor in about 25 years of issues with my stomach just came up with a diagnosis and some medication that seems to help. He seems to be a great asset for the VA
So thankful that I was able to see Dr. Dinesh Khera. After a long period of being ill, I found someone who cared enough to listen to my problems with my health and gave me straight answers. I think I will be able to recover with the help of Dr. Khera.
Profesional, competent, very experienced, warm personality.
Poor experience. After 30+ days for one test and a FU appt. I had lost 20 pounds and had no diagnosis. After being sent for one test after another, in a 5 month period, I was down almost 50 pounds, malnurished, dehydrated, and weak ... oh, and no firm diagnosis. After 9 months and a total loss of 110 pounds, I went to Pittsburgh. One visit - one diagnosis = C. Diff. I finally got the right treatment and never had to return for a FU.
I like doctor Kehra but the people that work for him are a disappointment. Try to get a refill on a prescription and their automated line says it will take 7 to 10 work days. 2 weeks to refill a prescription? Leave a message for a worker to call back and it takes 7 days or more. This practice has very poor workers. This is not a way to run a healthcare business. I am switching doctors because I have dealt with this poor service for 4 years and I am tired of it. Call the office and you will see
I love my doctor. He is caring and listens to what I'm saying. He takes plenty of time with me to answer all of my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this doctor. The office staff is very friendly and nurses are wonderful and very caring staff. They go above and beyond. When I had an issue recently, Dr. Khera called me personally on a Sunday night at dinner time. I have never had a doctor that was that dedicated to his patients.
