Went to the Dinner for lunch/breakfast. I ordered the Eggs Benedict but I don't like grits and don't care for the potatoes with the onions and green peppers. So I asked if I could get a single pancake. The server would not even ask she just said no. I just didn't think that this was an unfair or more expensive request and I said that to her and she just refused to go ask. Disappointed with her service. She disappeared pretty much after that and my eggs were underdone. Disappointing

Terrible service, tried breakfast there, first time the employees acted upset that I came in! Not friendly at all, maybe caught them on a bad day, so I gave it a week and went back walked in at exactly 7:29am, not greeted with a smile instead with a disappointed look, she then tells me in a mean manor, “I can talk your coffee but I cant talk your food order until 7:30, I said its 7:29! She repeats, so there wont be a third try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I are not native southerners, so we are always on the lookout for good diners to replicate what we were used to from back home up north. I am happy to report that SH gives us a terrific breakfast with everything we'd want a breakfast to include! We ❤️ SH, and can definitely give props to our favorite server, Rhiannon!! Thank you!! We'll be back for sure!!
Went there for the first time my wife and sons breakfast was cooked perfectly. I ordered steak medium rare,eggs over easy and potatoes. First my egg was like an hard boiled egg, sent that back. Then my steak was well done. I told the waitress but I was not going to send it back. She demanded I did. So I returned it. My family was done eating by the time I got all my food together. Very good food and lots of choices! Can even order from the bar. Amazing looking desserts in a display case, but fortunately, I made myself look away. Definitely NOT your typical "diner".
Never had a bad meal or bad service here, for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Highly recommend the skillets, Greek salad with shrimp and open faced Ruben.
WE LOVE IT HERE! We travel 45 min to come here. We celebrated our daughters 18th birthday early on Saturday the 24th since she had to work/lifeguard at the YMCA on her Bday... She wanted to go to her fave restaurant w/the best food & cakes! Diner At Sugarhill Not to mention the service, especially the manager, Jay, is great & always keeps us entertained & laughing,...what a genuinely nice guy. He even had them right Happy Birthday on her plate & added a candle! Isn't that sweet?! :)
